In The Beginning... And What Came After

Ok... So this blog is for me a place to get my ideas on writing. Whether this is the writing process, writing ideas or writing revelations.

I will also try and share where I have gone wrong and why in this process and where I have gone right, and why. I will also see what motivates me or demotivates me, or kicks me in the rear and says "What are you doing, boy?"

This is my idea and my hope for this, even if only as a space to get my ideas out for myself and not leave them percolating in my mind to drive me insane... Though I fear that may have already begun.

Hopefully I can make this my own corner of the vast, wide interwebz and hopefully I can have fun doing this.
So let us begin and see if Alice left the door open to the rabbit hole, or if she burnt the place down, leaving nothing more than a burnt out husk for the rest of us creatures.

In the words of the Doctor.. Allons-y

And with that I leave this small creation, I wrote it in my head one night when sleep was off dancing (though suddenly I feel like this is a poetry recital):

--

I walked the dark forest path
No-one was near, it was just me;
And my thoughts soared;
With the night sky into the void
The gentle breeze whispered

Then in the distance;
 I saw Lights
Oh I should have never gone to them
But go I did
It sealed my fate, it drove me;
To my dark doom and gave me my bright destiny

There around fires and lamps of silver;
Sat the Faerie King, his wondrous Queen and the fae court
Stunned I tried to hide in the forest edge
But I could not hide from them;
From Her

She came to where I hid, her gaze piercing the dark
Her eyes captured my soul
She took me gently
Led me to the circle of light and laughter
And presented me to the King and Queen

It was she that taught me to See;
To Hear, and to Feel
She taught me what it all meant
Her soft touch gave me hope

We danced and sang and laughed and cried
Time Himself did not intrude upon our circle
Even He stayed awhile in that place;
In the magic of that summer’s night

She came to me again
And leant into me with a kiss
My soul was aflame from that touch
And I awoke in the dark forest

 I will never know if the circle was true
If the Faerie King allowed me to join the dance
Or if She really was there

Yet far off in the distance of the forest
I have heard of Lights seen;
And of laughter floating on the gentle breeze.
